YAALEY SCREENING : DREAM TO REALITY
4 Months of Hard Work Culminates into a Successful Screening
14th July 2024 marks a significant milestone in our journey as filmmakers – the first successful screening of our short film "Yaaley." The event was a roaring success, not only due to all our 300 seats being sold but also because of the overwhelming emotional reactions from the audience, who responded with tears and applauses.
The excitement before the screening was huge. As we gathered at the venue, there was a mix of excitement and nervousness in the air. Our team had put in countless hours of hard work over the past four months, and this was the moment we had all been waiting for.
As the lights dimmed and the opening scene of "Yaaley" began to play, the room fell silent. It was an incredible experience to watch our film unfold on the big screen, surrounded by friends, family, and supporters who had believed in us from the start.
The audience’s reactions throughout the screening were very touching. We could hear soft gasps during the film’s emotional moments, and by the time the credits rolled, there were visible tears and loud applause. The emotional impact of "Yaaley" was evident, and it was incredibly rewarding to see how our story resonated with the viewers.
After the screening, we had the opportunity to engage with the audience during a Q&A session. Hearing their thoughts and feedback was invaluable, and it was heartening to know that our film had touched them in meaningful ways. The questions and discussions showed how much people connected with the story and characters. Many attendees asked for more screenings, which was very encouraging for us.
At Make A Wizh Productions, giving back is at the heart of what we do. Every project contributes to supporting children in need. Every project we undertake isn’t just about creating great films, it’s also about giving back to the community.

Making films and making a difference go hand in hand at Make A Wizh Productions. 15% of our earnings from each project are donated to charities supporting children in need. This time, we have collaborated with Child First UK.
Child First UK is dedicated to providing education for children affected by the civil war in the north and east of Sri Lanka. We are proud to support their mission and contribute to making a positive impact on these children’s lives.
We are immensely grateful to everyone who attended the screening and supported us throughout this journey. Your encouragement and belief in our vision made this achievement possible. Thank you for being a part of this special day and for sharing in the magic of "Yaaley."
We want to make a difference with our films, and the response to “Yaaley” shows that we are on the right path. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to share "Yaaley" with a wider audience and embark on new adventures in filmmaking. Here's to the power of storytelling and the moments that make it all worthwhile!
